White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. Food was excellent, and our server was really good and I was thrilled that they didn’t give us a hard time about having two separate checks for our table. That was an issue in the past and one thing that was making us hesitant to return, but all was good. It’s a fun place to have a meal and a drink and enjoy company of friends and family

I think there may have been a substitute chef last night. Our boiled potatoes were hard, even after we sent them back the first time. They had the texture of steamed turnips. The order of fried Brussell sprouts served looked more like a bowl of charcoal. I was surprised they were even brought to the table. On the good side, the order of steamed Brussel sprouts was perfect as were the meatballs and eggplant parmigiana.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner. I have celiac disease (food allergy) but they were fully knowledable about celiac. I had the ceasar sald, less croutons, and my wife had the salmom, I had the t-bone steak.
