White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. Staff was attentive and on top of things. Food was excellent. Gumbo tasty and deconstructed chicken pot pie delicious. Would go again.

Had a late lunch of soup--the French onion and the Kennett mushroom, both delicious--and the cornbread which was out of this world amazing. Great service and ambience as well--always love the dogs!!

I am concerned that my credit card was not charged for the total amount including the tip. I called and was told the tip would be charged to my card in several days. That does not seem appropriate.

So excited to have gotten to try out Downingtown's newest food venue! Can't say enough about the whole experience! The food was delicious and our waiter was great! We sampled their cobb salad/risotto/ pizza and seafood dish. All had their own spin and take- highly recommend this newest gem but get your reservation in early as they book up for regular table times!!
