Dining at The Old Deanery is an immersive experience, and you move through the building as you dine. Arrive into the cosy welcome lounge for pre-dinner drinks; chat, get comfortable, and relax – there will be no classical piano and hushed tones in here! Move through to the bar where you can watch some of the chefs work before they invite you to take your first course. The main event takes place in the restaurant, but forget white tablecloths and stilted service; the food may be formal but the atmosphere is not. Fabulous meal ,started with cocktails at the bar then at the table shared a calamari starter which was delicious. Next was a duck Rendang curry with Jasmine rice and fishcakes with a side of chips and we shared chocolate truffles to finish with something sweet. All served beautifully. Loved it all and would highly recommend.

Well worth the money. It's not the cheapest around but it's one of the few places where you get what you pay for. The food is outstanding, the staff is knowledgeable and soooo helpful and go above and beyond. They listen to their customers and know what to recommend but will also make their own personal suggestions. Jeremy is a proper chilled man but he makes your experience very enjoyable. Can't fault the place

Wow. Blown away but an amazing gastronomic experience. Everything added to such a warm and pleasant evening - the attentive, warm, welcoming and extremely knowledgable staff; the ambiance and surrounding was totally harmonious to the whole tasting ,end experience, accompanied by a delightful selection of wines. Would highly recommend.
