Lechon is a South American dining experience that seamlessly combines the fiery cooking of Argentina, Chile and Patagonia, along with creative inspiration of the chef. Enjoy perfectly charred 28-day dry-aged ribeye, grilled octopus with chorizo, housemade piquillo pepper and pork empanadas, slow roasted lechon, refreshing ceviches and smoked bone marrow.Executive Chef Jaco Smith consistently pushes the boundaries on traditional Latin fare by incorporating wood-fired flavors into his cuisine while boasting a view of the Willamette River that few Portland restaurants can offer. Smith comes from a large family of cattle, sheep and grain farmers. He started cooking at a young age in his mother’s kitchen. His favorite childhood memories include the tastes of dulce de leche, flan and grilled breads, reminiscent of South American flavors and commonly found on South African kitchen tables.

Oma's Hideaway is a vibrant, maximalist restaurant inspired by the life and spirit of Chef Thomas Pisha Duffly's grandmother, Kiong Tien “Tina” Vandenberg. Her ability to adapt, to make the most out of limited resources, and to stay creative while projecting warmth and brightness is the guiding force behind Oma’s Hideaway.Born during the pandemic as a pop-up in the Gado Gado parking lot, Oma’s became a permanent beacon of iridescent light in Portland’s Richmond neighborhood in 2021. The menu draws from Tina’s life story, taking influence from the craveable, soul-satisfying hawker food of Singapore and Malaysia and “turning up the volume” with exaggerated yet balanced flavors in Chef Tom’s signature style. Oma’s serves dinner accompanied by a seasonal list of hand-crafted cocktails and zero-proof drinks.

Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous Fried Chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. We haven’t been for awhile and Lechon was and is still one of the best restaurants and experiences. Food and drinks were amazing and service was 1000 percent worth going out and reminds you that old school good service while eating out still exists.

I am blown away by the food, ambiance, and the service I received! It was my birthday and they not only accommodated a large party, they made sure to work with us when ordering! I also got a round of mini maitai slushies and a giant rice krispie. We ordered the whole menu (party of 7) and were full and satisfied with everything. This is definitely a new favorite of mine!

When we travel from Seattle to Portland we always try to have a dinner at Nostrana, The food is simply prepared and perfect every time we have had dinner. They serve a wide range of people from dating couples to oldsters like us. Drinks and wine also very well chosen and well prepared. Service is attentive. Be sure to get a reservation ! Dr David Celio

The Ruski Zakuski experience was phenomenal, and with the addition of a cavier and a bread dish, was the perfect amount of food! We were too full for desert, but they still brought out a small frosted cookie with a candle, as it was a birthday event. Absolutely on my permanent dinner spot rotation.
