Wonderful food, attentive service, but very noisy. Cries out for a carpet or any sound abatement that might allow conversation at a table for 2 to4. Miss the old original Gurney’s corny Italian rococo decor that was a relief from the now ubiquitous “ zen”running to “ Amish “ look of un inviting plain colorless Uber simple gray fixtures. Looks as if it was decorated by Monks who have taken a vow of poverty. Art work is all black, gray and during late fall no view of gorgeous ocean after early sunset. No music either but the noise would drown it out anyway. Very pricey for teensy portions.

Great food , and service . our waiter Kenny just outstanding ,a true professional , friendly,always checking that all is ok. Bar tender Fonzie also friendly and recommended some cocktails that were delicious . So far this place is a winner.A must go to.

This is the second year I’ve came to Prime to celebrate Thanksgiving (with standard menu) . Outstanding food + service , ambience is always so warm and welcoming love the decor and vibe of the restaurant . Professional staff and the food is worth making the 45 minute drive from south shore to dine ! Will be coming back next year ! Trumpets on the Bay is a wonderful dining establishment, with an amazing location and decor. The food and drinks are always prepared with care, tastes delicious and presented by experienced and professional servers (Walter was wonderful). We highly recommend this restaurant.
