The food was good, service also good. Eric was our server and did a good job with his colleagues to take good care of our needs. Much appreciated, thanks! Gets a bit loud in there but no complaints. Definitely will be back!!

Outstanding service, excellent food, amazing atmosphere!

We consider Puddledock one of Portsmouth’s top-tier restaurants and that it doesn’t often get the credit it deserves. The menu is both inventive and accessible, the ambience perhaps the best in the city.

Server was outstanding/very attentive. Recognized we were there for a birthday celebration and brought a surprise at dessert.

We went here first time years ago to get a drink while waiting for friends. Lively bar and GREAT beer selection. We wanted to stay but our friends had reservations for us at another place - and that place was not great. So on our next visit we wanted to try this place. Derek our server was super nice and knowledgeable. I asked for his recommendations as I had been on a streak of not asking and ordering something I was disappointed in. We started with his recommendation of crudo and it was fantastic. I normal order an app that is way too big and ruin my main meal. Then I got the Hake and my wife got the salmon. We got a side of shoestrings. All were excellent. If I’m being a Chopped judge I think a touch of acid would have made the Hake other worldly. Super lively great service - place was PACKED. Highly recommended
