Don’t skip the bhel hummus. One of the best plates i’ve had this year.

We got the chef's counter experience. We were seated at a counter on high chairs looking into the kitchen as they were preparing the food for the restaurant. They worked as a well oiled machine. Tue Chef/Owner was there working at the pass finishing dishes. He helped to serve us and explain the dishes. The food was excellent. There were different textural elements along with complimentary and contrasting flavors. Everything was seasoned to perfection. We got the optional wine paring with it, and unfortunately, the waitress that was serving our drinks was a little slow at one point and we didn't get the wine that was intended to go with a dish until after that course. Fortunately, it was a reisling so sipping on it between courses was enjoyable. Overall it was a stellar experience that I would definitely recommend amd I will definitely be going back to Bloom.

We were at Sifr Saturday night and were lucky to get the Restaurant Week menu which they had extended since they apparently couldn't accomodate everyone who wanted reservations during Restaurant Week. Everything was incredible. Our waiter gave the perfect recommendations and was attentive when we needed it and appropriately absent when we didn't. The classic hummus was so yummy with puffy warm pita bread. We also added the eggplant spread which was amazing as well. Most interesting dish was the maitake mushroom. Wanted 3 or 4 more. The duck with pomegranate glaze was melt in your mouth good, and the roasted cauliflower was flavorful and unique. The date pudding (which I questioned) was incredible and the pomegranate sorbet was mind-blowing (my husband's description!). Cocktails were also deeeeelish. The #2 and #3 were our favorites. All in all - great dinner. Will definitely be back.

Maple Tree Inn is a very nice place to eat, my husband is from New Orleans and said the food was very good. He wasn't fond of the red beans & rice(too much rice ,not enough beans and sauce) but he enjoyed the seafood gumbo. The Pecan Crusted Crab cake was delicious and meaty. We both had the Jambalaya and it was fantastic. We were there celebrating our anniversary and they gave us complimentary beignets for dessert. My only slight complaint was that it was a bit chilly in the restaurant when we first arrived but as the place filled up it felt better. It was a great anniversary.

My second experience at Lior's Cafe is the same as the first Excellent environment, excellent wait time to be seated and served, excellent wait time for food arrival, excellent food quality, definitely excellent customer services provided by the hostess, wait staff, manager and Chef. I will make a third reservation when I return to Chicago again.
