Selden Standard’s fare features flavors born in local farms, captured at the peak of the season, prepared in their wood-fired oven, and served small plates-style in shareable portions. Complementing the menu are wines from small producers, distinctive brews, and cocktails to suit the seasons. Selden is rustic and casual, but with an ever-present eye for quality, creativity, and fun. Chef Andy Hollyday is a 2023 James Beard finalist and four-time semi-finalist. Selden Standard was named a semi-finalist for Outstanding Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation (2024), and has been named Restaurant of the Year by both the Detroit Free Press (2015) and Hour Detroit (2016).

Lumen Detroit at Beacon Park offers a unique dining experience in the heart of the city, blending modern architecture with a vibrant park setting. The restaurant features floor-to-ceiling retractable windows and one of Detroit's largest outdoor patios, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor ambiance. Guests can enjoy seasonally inspired Modern American cuisine, craft cocktails, and an extensive bar selection, whether on the rooftop or by the cozy outdoor firepits. With its lively atmosphere and picturesque views of Beacon Park, Lumen is the perfect spot for any occasion.We offer valet parking for $15 Wednesday-Sunday. There is also metered street parking available on a limited basis. Please note that reservations will be held for 15 minutes, after which they are subject to cancelation. We allot 2 hours per table for dining, after which we may ask for your table. Due to the possibility of inclement weather our patio tables are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Located in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit, TAKOI is known for modern Thai cooking accented with Michigan seasonality, a DIY mentality, and a penchant for local food production. As a core pillar of our mission, TAKOI operates HiO Farm which is located just a mile north of the restaurant. During the height of farm season, the restaurant highlights dishes prepared with HiO produce utilizing the techniques and flavors inspired by Thailand and beyond. TAKOI, originally KATOI, began as a food truck in 2014, evolved into an Ann Arbor pop-up, and landed as a proper restaurant at 2520 Michigan Avenue in March of 2016. After being open for 11 months, having a slew of fun, and garnering a handful of awards — including a James Beard 'Best New Restaurant' nomination— KATOI was brought back down to earth when it was subjected to arson in February 2017. The day after the fire, the rebuild began, and we opened as TAKOI exactly six months later in August 2017.

Cork & Gabel, a restaurant fusion of Irish, Italian, and German cuisine, opened in 2018 in Detroit's Corktown district. We are known for our use of modern techniques on old school classics. European comfort food is a staple at Cork & Gabel. We pride ourselves on being a scratch kitchen, sourcing and using Michigan vendors including farmers and small business. Fresh is key when it comes to providing a great experience and we make everything we can fresh and in house.

    I took a close friend there for her birthday and it was both of our first time being there. We both enjoyed our food a whole lot and we had mimosa flights with the flavors of lavender, mango, and blueberry and they were REALLY good. Highly recommended place and we’ll definitely be returning. Thanks for the great experience and delicious food!

    The food and experience in the chalet was great. Felt like the chalet was extremely hot, we asked to turn it down but they initially said they couldn’t because multiple chalets are controlled by one setting. Then we asked again, and was told many people are complaining about it so they will turn it down but it still didn’t make any difference. So we cracked opened the door, which made it cold. So that part was just unpleasant with being hot and cold. Plus the tables and benches are metal so that didn’t help with how hot everything was. Food was great and drinks were strong!

    Staff was very personable and attentive. Service level was professional and not over bearing. Food was served at optimum temperature, Staff very receptive to special/individual request Truly a memorable experience.
