“This Must be the Place”What's a Wolf Peach, you say? Well, it’s an interesting story.What we know today as the tomato was first grown as a crop by the Aztec Indians. Spanish explorers brought the tomato back to Europe in the early 1500s.In England and Germany, they were initially regarded as ornamental, but poisonous, a “wolf peach”. This is because aristocrats experimented with the tomato, but it ended badly—not due to the fruit, but because it was eaten on pewter dishes. Apparently, acids in the tomato leached the highly toxic lead in the pewter dishes, and caused illness and even death in many cases. The “common” folk, however, typically ate on wooden dishes, and had no problem!Wolf Peach is a place for all of us regular folks. A little uncommon, a little unexpected, a little special. A place for everyone and anyone to enjoy a good hearty meal, scratch-made from Chef Luke Ostrowski. Join us also for weekend brunch, starting November 5th.

Nolia - Formerly Dig In Eats - is a continental European style restaurant with a south Louisiana influence. We have a 100 item menu of a la carte charcuterie (works like a sushi menu - choose your own adventure!), small plates and tapas, fresh local breads, and full-flavored homemade recipes. What a cool restaurant! Loved the open concept kitchen. Ambiance was great with warm lighting, welcoming atmosphere, bustling but not too loud, and incredible design with a unique eclectic flare. We were a bit disappointed at first as our reservation was pushed back a few minutes due to some larger parties still wrapping up their service BUT if we hadn’t had an extra 10 minutes, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to check out their super cool rooftop! Loved all the photo ops, the Bus themed mini bar with appetizers and I definitely want to come back to use their cool igloo seats for the holidays! Jillian was our server and she was so sweet and had great recommendations. From our drinks to food, everything was fast and extremely delicious. Can’t wait to come back for more :)
