Pietramala is a little restaurant located in Northern Liberties celebrating plants, wood-fire cooking and seasonality. We offer a small, regularly changing menu based on the highest quality, organic ingredients grown or made with care in Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic. Our Italian leaning, but globally inspired food is always presented simply with familiar flavors achieved in creative new ways. Often touched by fire, smoke or fermentation to unlock unique flavors, our dishes sometimes require days or even months of preparation.     Boyfriend and I got the lamb brisket as a starter, and then the salmon for main course and Thai cucumber salad as a side. We split them all. I would probably not order the lamb again, but everything else was fantastic. Our server Francis was super kind. Great dinner and highly recommend!

    My first time at Charlie was a sinner. was absolutely memorable and I’m still thinking about dinner and dessert post-meal. The Charred Broccolini, Triple Cooked Fried, Mama’s Meatballs and Chocolate Pot De Crème are absolutely wonderful. Everything was delicious and I cannot wait to come back again— compliments to the chef and fabulous service!

    My partner and I first discovered Pietramala in spring 2024, and have found ourselves going back almost every time we are back in Philly. I want to stress that we are not vegans (though we are pescatarian); however, every dish at Pietramala is innovative and transcendent, showing you what is truly possible with the ingredients that you might not have ever considered or thought about. Everyone who works there - from the chefs to front of house - are all fantastic, and the ambience is always just right. Cannot recommend Pietramala enough
