Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Great service from start to finish. Ambience was cozy and in a great location overall. Great price for valet parking!! Sophisticated crowd overall with symphony-goers and local residents mixed in; very close to the Kennedy by car. Crispy mushrooms were excellent but I would get another appetizer to breakup monotony of shrooms. Lamb ribs were a bit too fatty and tuna bolognese was an interesting twist on bolognese. Portions were appropriate in size. I would return

Everything about our dinner here was 5-star! The food was delicious, the wine choice was outstanding, the service was attentive and helpful, and the ambiance was great. If you're a wine drinker, this is a fabulous restaurant to go to with an extensive list of wines from around the world. They also had a decent choice of cocktails. Everything from the appetizers to the main dishes and dessert was also delicious!
