Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. Delicious food and friendly service. My grandchildren ages 10 and 12 ask to go to Das whenever they visit. Their parents like it too. Whenever I have guests from out of town I take them to Das for a delightful dinner.

We were celebrating the engagement of our son to a wonderful woman. I had told the restaurant why we were there and they were especially accommodating. Our server did not rush us through ordering and the food arrived in a well timed manner. The food was excellent- hot and fresh. We ordered dessert and it arrived with the word Congratulations written in chocolate sauce around the plate. It was an all around great time.

Our food was absolutely amazing! Loved everything. We had the Spider, Maté, and King of Spades rolls - they were all super good! Our dessert was delicious and just the right size. We ordered the chocolate molten cake and had every little bite of it. Overall, great food and experience.
