Located on High Holborn, close to the British Museum, the restaurant is elegantly designed and filled with original Indian art and antique furniture including century old items made for Maharajas which take diners on a journey through Indian culture and history. The menu reflects regional accents with a contemporary viewpoint. It is food that observes the established traditions of Indian cooking but breaks the rules a little by Executive Chef Sohan Bhandari. We dined on Christmas Day. There was a preset menu. The service was outstanding. The food was varied and delicious. The portions were generous.

Great food and service. Only downside was the food service was in my opinion too quick. We had a three course meal in an hour. It would have been nice to spread the meal out.

We enjoyed, nay, loved our experience at Fitz’s for Christmas lunch. It could not have been better. Cocktails to champagne to burgundy, pared with magnificent dishes, including lobster bisque, scallops, turkey, pudding and more. OMG it was great. But the service was spectacular. We had Naeera, a French lady who was exceptionally attentive. Over four hours of bliss! Thank you Naeera — you made Christmas 2024 so special for us.
