Jam Delish is an independent family-owned Caribbean vegan restaurant and cocktail bar in Angel, Islington. Founded in 2020 by siblings Jordan and Chyna, their idea was one that came purely from their desire to bring their grandparents authentic, traditional Caribbean recipes from their family home to the London food scene, with a fresh and modern take, inspired by their own upbringing in a vegan household. Food was incredible but portions were tiny! I paid £24 for the lamb which was diving but only had 4 small slices. If you’re going to go be prepared to spend a lot as you’ll need more than one main.

The steward didn’t have much experience serving people. The sweet section of high tea had small shot glasses to be shared between 2 people. The menu said jalebi but the shot glass had a sprinkling of jalebi piece. I think this should be rethought as it’s physically impossible to share a shot glass worth of anything. Steward was very loud and started clearing tables when one of the party was still eating even though there were 10 other tables that were empty

Wonderful afternoon. The food was delicious, the atmosphere in the restaurant was business like but relaxed and welcoming. If only we could have stayed a bit longer to order some more good eats, with good conversation. Definitely will be back to revisit this lovely gourmet experience.

We were told it was the first day of the new menu and it was very busy and running a little behind schedule with the bookings. However the staff were extremely friendly and professional despite being absolutely run off their feet and the food was excellent. Menu had so much that we wanted to try - the sharing small plates option for 2 seems a really good way to do that. Will have to return soon.
