Takai by Kashiba is a fine dining Edo-Mae style Sushi restaurant that specializes exclusively in nigiri sushi. Sushi Counter dining is solely Chef's Omakase, with two seatings at 5:30 and 7:30.Omakase is also available at our dining room tables along with a la carte Sushi options.We do not have vegan/vegetarian/kids menus. We are able to accommodate most allergies.Led by Chef Jun Takai, the Omakase consists of local and international seafood accompanied with Kaiseki style dishes. Takai by Kashiba creates an elegant atmosphere whether you're seated at a table or the sushi counter.     The food was good, as usual, but pricey. The server was exceptionally attentive and friendly. The restaurant website shows valet parking @ $8.00 but the parking lot charged $12 (plus tax) so this should be "fixed" so that customers have accurate information. There is a 5% service charge for minimum wage adjustment. This was not evident until we received the bill ... not that it would have changed our mind about dining here but some sort of footnote on the menu would have been appreciated.

    This is my fourth visit to Takai, and each time, I discover something new. I was told it’s because they always use the best seasonal ingredients, and I can truly see (and taste) the difference. No doubt, I’ll be back again soon!
