Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Walk-in guests are welcome to enjoy the bar area as well.The Dabney has been awarded one Michelin star every year since 2017, James Beard Foundation Best Chef Mid-Atlantic for Chef Jeremiah Langhorne in 2018, and Washingtonian Magazine's #1 restaurant in 2023. Food was solid- love it! We did not particularly care for the waiter. We ate outside generally we have excellent service, but this time was different. he was not particularly helpful almost to the point of being rude.

Took advantage of their amazing happy hour menus for an impromptu girls night! The drinks were amazing, especially. The white wine sangria and the food was delicious. We loved the Patatas Bravas so much, it was a table favorite. The dip for the Patatinas is amazing, I’ll be thinking about it for a good bit. Everything we tried was yummy! We had great service, I have already recommended this place to several friends!

We went for Black Restaurant Week and had a wonder time! The menu they curated was very good. We ordered the devil eggs and flat bread for appetizers. Both were delicious. For the main course we ordered the Salmon and Pasta were amazing as well as the blueberry cobble! Derrick, our server was very informed and was able to assist us with ordering. He was very friendly and attened to us with impeccable service. We will be coming back!
