We dined here as a group of 4 on a Friday night and had a fabulous experience. Cocktails were delicious, our server was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations, and the food was all excellent!! We will definitely be back!

We visited Jill after a campus visit to UC and were so charmed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The bartender, host, and server made us feel so welcome in Boulder. The coulotte steak, filet medallions, and abruzzi pizza were great, all tasty and cooked to perfection. Their Negroni Friuliano (made with Punt e Mes and Amaro Nonino, in addition to Campari and Gin) were perhaps the two nicest Negroni I have ever had ;)

Such an amazing experience, I feel so grateful to have spend the evening at black cat and definitely look forward to coming back again. They made a birthday feel so special and so amazing thank you all!!!

Food overall was good. Some dishes stood out more than others. For a restaurant that serves all shared plates, it would be nicer if the majority of the plates had portions divisible by 2, since the majority of parties are divisible by 2. This restaurant served shared plates with mostly 5 pieces or in some cases 3 pieces on the plate, which made it awkward to share with a party of 4 since there was always either one piece remaining or we were one piece short for sharing.

This is a true neighborhood gem. Try the salmon pasta!
