Elaine’s modern Mediterranean cuisine is based on exquisite food found in Alexandria, Egypt. The unique style is best described as Middle Eastern with French, Greek, and Italian influences. Elaine’s is located at 208 Queen Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314. The 1880 building, the previous home of Bilbo Baggins for 38 years, has been completely renovated with a new look and feel. The restaurant is located in the heart of Old Town’s Historic District within sight of the Potomac River.     They ran out of sword fish. I ended up ordering an alternative salmon dish which was a bit on the dry side and didn’t understand the paring of the dehydrated vegetables around the dish. I felt like I was eating someone’s science project. The presentation was not well received. Hopefully they’ll have more swordfish next time.

    We went for a birthday lunch and enjoyed delicious food with fantastic service. Aly was our fantastic server. They asked about any allergies and accommodated as they could and provided phenomenal recommendations, including the app sampler, drinks, and pumpkin dessert. I can't wait to try again!

    Lena’s was a great choice for the holiday. I’m always pleased with the delicious food. They were very accommodating for my child that has food allergies. We were contacted prior to our arrival that even though there would be cross contamination of ingredients, we were welcome to bring our own food. The server also asked about food allergies, so the awareness was welcome as well.

    Along the river just a short walk from King St., this place is a gem. Food was fabulous. Ambiance was great. Artie was our server/bartender and he was fabulous. Putting this place on our list of stops when we return in the spring.

    Lovely food as always! Our server was FANTASTIC! My only complaint is we were seated by the kitchen and it was hard to talk. But very minor issue... OAK was absolutely packed on Christmas Eve so I'm sure they did their best. We'll be back!
