Lavergne’s Tavern opened in June, 2016 at the corner of Windsor and East Avenues in the old Garv’s Inn location, a staple in Berwyn since the ’60s. The tin ceiling and hardwood floors are restored, and the storied Garv’s Inn bar is rebuilt from scratch using reclaimed black walnut. This pleasant and welcoming restaurant has been a favorite of ours since it opened. Food is always tasty and interesting. Drinks are excellent: booze, coffee and hand-squeezed juices. Everyone who has ever waited on us has been lovely! Love that it is locally-sourced organic food. Decor is very natural. Chairs are comfortable and tables not jammed together. We think you'll like it!

First time going...Was a little hesitant about going because of the area, but I will say the greeting was marvelous...that young man showed excellent customer service skills from the time you walk in and over all while you are there...the waitress was very attentive as well...once our time was up we moved to the bar and continued to have drinks and chat with the friendly staff....everything was great I must say...definitely glad I supported this establishment.
