Chat Thai became an instant smash hit in 1989 when it opened its first restaurant with plenty of heat and authentic Thai dishes. We've since added restaurants in Circular Quay, Westfield Sydney, Neutral Bay, Chatswood and Galeries Victoria, and in 2015 we added organic, fresh produce from our farm in Byron Bay. We had an excellent lunch today. The octopus was presented with a delightful charred flavour, adding a smoky depth that was simply irresistible. The snapper was sweet and juicy, perfectly cooked, and seasoned to perfection, standing in stark contrast to the often tasteless and dry fish found elsewhere. The strawberry Eton mess was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced, ending the meal on a high note. Overall, this restaurant truly deserves its high reputation.

Amazing restaurant. Service was very professional, yet personal, from when we entered the day and until we left. Very service minded and smiling personnel. Food was the best Japanese food I have had, and I am definitely going back to try more things on the menu. There are simply too many good things to cover with one meal.

Outstanding food.. generous portions, brilliant balance of heat and spice, fresh and delicious. Awesome authentic Thai cuisine. Unfortunately wine list is very limited and no BYO allowed.
