The Watermans Richmond is an all day Restaurant and Bar in the centre of town, conveniently located on an ancient cobbled street that leads down to the waterfront.Our food is the best of British ingredients, served with a nod to southern Europe, with favourite dishes ranging from scallop ravioli to fregola, veal chops and day boat fish. We also have vegetarian and vegan options as well as delicious puddings including tiramisu, poached pears and profiteroles.We have been the site of a Public house for centuries and still offer a selection of draught beers however we have an extensive wine list focusing mostly on classic wines from Europe.The Restaurant is divided into several areas: luxurious deep leather banquette seating, bar counters perfect for lunches and more casual dining and cosy fireside dining in our upstairs room. We also have two outside areas, a perfect spot for a drink or bite whilst watching the world go by.

Canary Wharf workers have a new waterfront wine bar as Humble Grape opened on Mackenzie Walk, along the water’s edge.On the wine list you’ll find 30 wines by the glass (they’ll rotate these regularly) as well as more than 400 wines by the bottle all with the focus on wines from small family wineries that champion sustainable, organic, or biodynamic practices.     It was our first visit to Hazev, but it won't be our last. It was one of a very few restaurants in the area open on Christmas Day. The staff was friendly and jolly, as was the atmosphere of the restaurant, with lovely decorations and recorded Christmas songs being played. The Christmas menu was reasonably priced for what was offered, which was a sample of seven starters (humus, tabbouleh, tzatziki, aubergine with tomatoes, filo with spinach & feta, falafel and deep fried prawn) served with freshly baked bread and a choice of one of six main courses. We enjoyed all of the starters. The deep fried king prawn was my husband's favorite and I had a hard time choosing a favorite because I liked them all. We ordered the kofte, which was a generous portion of two skewers of lamb mince and the Hazev special, which was a generous serving of tender, succulent and deliciously seasoned lamb stew on a bed of the most heavenly concoction of aubergine with cheese and bechamel. I savored every bite. For dessert we were served two bite sized pieces of pistachio baklava which made a perfect end to a wonderful meal. Their menu is brimming with other delicacies I look forward to trying. Thank you to the Hazev staff for making us feel welcomed so far from home on Christmas Day.

    Great staff.. warm, friendly and fun This was our Anniversary and as my wife is a Cape Towner I can’t tell you how nice it was for her to be greeted by Julian (also is), who was helpful in moving the booking for me originally and it kept the link between the original restaurant in Waterfront alive (which is amazing by the way by the ocean) Thanks guys Great dinner (platter) and at £75 Inc a cocktail, on par for decent value these days
