Me and my boyfriend had a reservation on the 14th We where seated right away. Served us quickly ,food was absolutely amazing we had starters My boyfriend had oyster and pork I had skirts steak with potato wedges ,tomatoes Was delicious!

A great restaurant that never gets the accolades it deserves. Such nice views near the water in Cold Spring Harbor. Great dishes include: mussels (either marinara or white wine), baked clams, eggplant rollatini, their specialty salads, linguini with white clam sauce, flounder or sole francaise, rack of lamb, short ribs and they also make a wonderful pork chop milanese that will surprise you with roasted potatoes and either and/or hot peppers. Great desserts especially the mascarpone Italian cheesecake not to mention the wine pours are generous. Their weekday pre-fixe dinner menus beat the restaurant week offerings of many restaurants both in price, quality and selection. Overall a great place for a family or romantic dinner and really fun in the summer with music outside overlooking the water across the street or Witch's night in October. Also, the meal portions are always large and often neither I or my wife can finish them.

It was Valentine’s Day and was a wonderful dining experience. We were warmly greeted by the hostess. The restaurant has an excellent atmosphere and even though it was busy it didn’t feel crowded as the tables are nicely spaced. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The lemon drop martini was smooth and tasty. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the scallops with spinach risotto were delicious. The peel and eat shrimp were well chilled on a bed of ice. The brownie and ice cream is the best in Monmouth County! It was a delicious and relaxing evening.

This was our first time visiting Prime for my wife’s birthday and honestly we had a fantastic experience. As a “chef” by trade and being in the culinary industry for close to 15 years, i haven’t been that happy with spending what i did on food in a long time. My wife order the New York Strip med rare with a side of Mac and Cheese. The age on it was great. Not to nutty and funky that it’s a turn off for the majority of people, but not so mild that I questioned if it was actually aged. The Mac was perfect. I could eat it every day. I ordered the Half Chicken to try something different than I normally do. Hands down, best chicken and grits I have ever had from a restaurant. The Chicken was perfectly cooked yet the skin was just ever so perfectly golden and crisp, not charred like most places would make it. I suspect it’s a salt cure with some weight on it, but regardless how it’s done it’s amazing. I can’t wait to come back again!
