The history of the Corona family is extremely interesting, dates from the time of the General Ramon Corona who, during the French intervention played a fundamental role in the fall of the Emperor Maximilian. This restaurant is the guardian of the traditional techniques of mestizo cuisine, with flavors and recipes dating back to the times of the Mexican Independence until the beginning of the twentieth century. Dedicated to our grandmother Maria Corona born in 1916 in Mexico City, here you will find her traditional recipes along with her cooking secrets as they’ve been handed down from generation to generation.     Loved our experience. Almost didn’t go because of the reviews about how expensive it was. But so glad we went. It’s decorated so beautifully with lots of lights and nooks for tables. Food was fabulous and we were celebrating birthdays so they made that very special! The only thing we didn’t know the price ahead of time was the lobster appetizer that is unique to the restaurant. It was with a sauce that I didn’t love but the rest of the table loved it. Scallops were amazing and the fresh fish was delicious. Burrata salad got raves and the deserts were beautiful and delicious. I have a daughter with special needs and they were accommodating and made her a special dish and the mariachi band played Taylor swift for her. Evening was one of our favorites for our week! 5 stars from our table of 6

    Perfect Night! Have been to this fav spot for many years. May have been our best meal last night. Had their house salad which should not be overlooked. So fresh and great ingredients which balances the other heavier food. Had the Cochina Pibil that I will think about until I have it again. So tender and drank all the broth with a spoon. My wife had enchiladas pescatarian style. Best corn tortillas. Great service and ai b a fun spot!! Can’t wait to get back again!
