Fergus Henderson’s original home of “Nose to Tail Eating” opened in a former smokehouse around the corner from Smithfield Market in 1994.Celebrating the finest of indigenous British produce and making the most of what is seasonally best whilst applying straight forward cooking techniques, St. John is now celebrated as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World and in 2009 was awarded its first Michelin Star.Nose to tail eating means that, where appropriate, every part of the animal should be put to good use in the kitchen and so along with Roast Beef and Lemon Sole, diners will find Rolled Pig’s Spleen, Kidneys and Ox Heart, Liver and Chitterlings as well as the Roast Bone Marrow & Parsley Salad, something of a ‘signature’ dish.

We’ve long loved Canary Wharf and it's rich history of the nearby Docklands and Billingsgate Market, yet Blacklock in a glass tower never quite fit. One look at an old disused warehouse nestled cosily in the corner of Canary Wharf underneath the train tracks of the North Dock and we knew we had found home. Feel the comforting rumble of trains passing overhead conjuring memories of some of our favourite haunts underneath the bridges in NYC - a place where, with the blinds rolled down and away from prying eyes, a decadent lunch can swiftly roll into dinner.

Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall.     Every thing was fab .. although very chaotic checking in we were there at 7.30 prompt but never got seated till 7.45pm .. but at 9pm a lady came over and said we needed to leave as we had used our allocated 1hour 45mins - I kindly told her we were not seated till 7.45 and we would be leaving by 9.30. Our waitress who was well aware of our time frame was very apologetic. Only blip - our waitress was fab and food amazing .. views are stunning

    We visited with our baby to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Our waiter went above and beyond to give us a memorable experience, and was incredibly accommodating to meet all of our needs. His knowledge of the menu, and recommendations were spot on. The food was delicious, service was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble. Service from entry to leaving was wonderful from every member of staff we encountered.

    Me and my friend went for a pizza making class and it was an amazing experience. We were greeted by staff who were welcoming and Muhammad was our host today . We had a lovely pizza making class and it was fun and had a laugh . I would recommend coming here to participate in the pizza making class . We came on a Monday so it was a very intimate class as it was just us which was more relaxing . Would definitely recommend

    Really enjoyed the Shisha lounge with and live music/ dj, they made me feel special on my birthday. After we had the table for 2 hours we had to leave, so I wish we would have been able to stay in the venue and not have to re queue to enter. Other than that it was good vibes and I’ll be back!
