Westerns Laundry is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant focusing on seafood & natural wines. The restaurant is located in the Islington/Highbury neighbourhood of North London. It opened in 2018 and is housed in a 1950's industrial building which used to be home to the largest commercial laundry in North London. Tired of the loosely French inspired humdrum of restaurants popping up across the city of London? Do you like holidays? Do you like cold drinks and warm service? If you've answered yes to one or more of these then perhaps Tollington's can refresh both your pallet and your mind. The idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result is a chippy in North London with old church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends fish, mammals and vegetables, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour. Split between two rooms, the front the engine, the kitchen and bar shared by customers as they perch on bar stools and enjoy dinner and a show. Brilliant night out! Pizza, cars and drinks all topped off with 5* hospitality! My 5 year even had a dance cos the tunes were banging! Highly recommend this hidden gem.

This was my fifth or sixth time here and I was taking my son and daughter in law who live in Spain and are very into food and wine. We had a really outstanding meal on all fronts, ambience, service, wine and above all food. I think it’s my favourite place to eat out in north London

I liked everything except the food. It was raw and for the price it’s overrated. I didn’t like it sorry. But the experiance from the staff was great!

Loved the experience but meal was a bit ruined by adding heavily fishy broccoli as a side to a beef cheek dish. We didn’t realise the side came with the fishy topping. :( Thought the portions of main were small for price point. Charming staff and really glad we visited! Thanks!

Wonderful food, great service, will be back. Each of the dishes designed and prepared with care, leading to great results. House wine (both red and white) excellent and very reasonably priced.
