I recently celebrated my sister’s 30th birthday and my uncle’s 60th at Mate’s, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and truly above and beyond. Our server, Kacy, was an absolute star, making sure everything was perfect throughout the night, and Oleg was fantastic in assisting her. The food was delicious. The cocktails were lovely! The restaurant itself was spotless, with nice decor that created the perfect ambiance. A huge thank you to the team at Mate’s for making this night so memorable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, incredible service, and a beautiful setting!

Excellent little Tapas bar, set in the busy Tooting market. Situated on a corner, so the dining bar is on the outer edge of the two sides. Seating is on both sides of the bar, so it is easy to sit opposite one's partner, or as a group. The market is extremely busy and buzzy, so noise level is quite high. A good selection of plates, and wines. On Tuesday there are three plates for £20, which is ample per person. I would advise booking for most days of the week.
