Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. Homemade house guacamole, or one of the many soup or salad options, make for a great starter. The entree options are plentiful. Casa Vega serves everything from traditional chicken mole, a plethora of burrito options, combination plates and specialty options, such as carne chile Colorade and the signature Casa Vega molcajete.     Everything was exceptional—the food and service were top-notch. However, I ordered the flat iron steak and, unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan and won't be ordering it again. It had a strange flavor, almost like it was marinated in wine or something that didn’t sit well with me. I still ate it for two reasons: I was with my team and didn’t want to make a fuss. But I couldn’t quite place that flavor—no amount of salt could mask it. That said, everything else was fantastic. The calamari was perfectly fried and seasoned. The cheese bread—delicious! And my wedge salad? Wow, you guys loaded it up, and I truly appreciated that! Just the steak I couldn’t finish. Thank you, and happy holidays!

    Daily Grill is one of our favorite local restaurants, and our Thanksgiving meal was quite good. The cocktails were great, the service was excellent (our server was Rick and he was awesome). The food and cocktails are always excellent, the ambiance is always very pleasant and comfortable, the parking is always convenient and simple. Thanks, Daily Grill!

    Our server she was very nice and she did great job but food wise I don’t recommend so much its very basic. Overall it’s okay just for couple drinks.
