Attention: Please note that all reservations made will be located in our inside restaurant, our tables located in our large pub garden, bar area and covered garden room are available for walk-ins only. Voted the nation’s favourite family pub, our 18th century village local on the Norfolk coast serves real ales from our microbrewery Brancaster Brewery, home cooked wholesome food, great pub classics including Jolly Smokehouse specials, local seafood, stone baked pizzas and ice cream from a garden beach hut (and not forgetting the largest selection of rum on the coast!).

    A beautiful historic building, away from the crowds on the coast, we found ample parking, welcoming and friendly staff, a light, spacious dining area and a menu with something for everyone. After our meal we were able to sit in one of the several relaxing spaces to continue family time; it was magical! Thank you.

    From the warm and friendly welcome as we arrived and throughout the whole experience we were well looked after. The food was well cooked and very tasty and excellent value for money and we look forward to returning when we are North Norfolk way in future

    Friendly greeting on arrival, given the table as we had requested on the online booking. Hard working pleasant staff. The Adnams beer was well keptand served perfectly. A nice fresh salad and freshly cooked, hot fries and the pizzas (4 of them) were nicely cooked and presented.

    very nice food and delightful staff but on the day in question, they were very quiet so the atmosphere was a little stilted for the quality i found the price very reasonable

    We all had a fabulous lunch on Saturday. The staff and food were excellent. Our table in the bar was so cosy next to the fire and the children were able to play the board games, which got them off their phones for quite a while! Thanks to all the staff for being so lovely and friendly. The food really was first class and the whole restaurant felt like a Christmas film, perfect!
