A hip and fun restaurant with chef's counter dining, serving thoughtful American cuisine, with an emphasis on local seasonal products.Ethel's Fancy is open at 5 PM Tuesday - Saturday.We have a small dining room with a limited amount of reservable tables. We do keep our Bar seats and a table in the restaurant open for people to walk-ins. Walk-ins are on a first come basis. Please do not make multiple reservations with the intention of combining reservations to increase party size.All guests must be present before your party will be seated.To help provide a seamless experience for all our guests, we have allocated 2-hours for your group of 2 to 4 people.

Inspired by the best pizza of New York City and Naples, Italy. In 2005, Annie and Craig Stoll annexed the space next door to their James Beard Award winning Delfina restaurant fulfilling a long time dream of bringing Neapolitan-inspired pizzas to San Francisco. The 600 square foot space was an instant neighborhood hotspot, and Pizzeria Delfina became the ""darling of the San Francisco food scene"" opening a second location in 2008 to popular demand. In 2014, Annie and Craig expanded into the Peninsula with Pizzeria Delfina in Palo Alto.     The warm greeting at the door was the beginning of impeccable service for the night. The food was excellent from appetizers to dessert with the lamb chops and Galaktoboureko as true standouts. It was a great way to celebrate our 39th anniversary!

    We had the most delicious enjoyable Christmas day dinner. Each taste was amazing. We loved the guacamole, the posole with its complex broth, the barbacoa lamb, the caramel banana cake, the bunelo dessert and the special treat of corn pancakes brought to our table. Even the tempura tofu was good. I liked that they didn't ask us to tell them our choices for the second course until we finished the first ones. The pace was very good. Such a nice dinner experience and the fixe prix way of determining it by the cost of the entree was fair and very reasonable compared to other restaurant offerings for fixe prix for Christmas day.

    The whole experience was fabulous. Our server, Andy, made the entire experience so much more enjoyable and adapted the courses to each of our respective palates. every course they brought out was divine, and truly food like we had never had before. 100/10 experience, would highly recommend to anyone considering!
