Located in Hawthorne"s historic Degray house, Bottagra Restaurant opened its doors in early 2008. What was once used as an encampment for General Lafayette's troops during the Revolutionary War has been transformed into a modern, elegant restaurant with the feel and charm of a Tuscan villa. Chef-Owners Robert Vicari and Carlo Carbonaro have fused their extensive restaurant experience together to offer a variety of dishes hailing from both the northern and southern regions of Italy. At Bivio our passion is authentic Neapolitan pizza. Napoli... our love of the city, its cuisine, and in particular, its pizza is where our story began. We heard time and time again “It’s all about the dough.” True to Neapolitan tradition, and the passion of the pizzaioli, we construct our pizza using “00” flour from Naples, San Marzano DOP tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil, fior di latte or bufala mozzarella, and sea salt. Our dough is gently mixed using a 28 year old “lieveto madre” (natural yeast culture) then with intense heat is baked in our wood burning il forno. At Bivio all of our dishes are made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients.

    Good place! The waitress was amazing and even made it her business to speak to my son about his birthday! Which made him happy. The portions of food was really big (like big enough for 2 people) so that’s the only bummer, we had food left over.

    First time at Vida for me and my guys and we had a great time. Food & service were A1. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and timely. Sophi was always checking on us and making us smile + she gave us some good food/hookah recs. The DJ was on point, taking us on an international voyage through the music. I got my passport stamped a couple times as we moved through middle eastern, Caribbean and diasporic sounds topped off with some fire blends of R&B. 10 out of 10 would recommend to lovers & friends to pull up here no matter the occasion. But if you wanna keep the spark, go with your lover and play like kids on a Saturday night. My boys and I are coming back with our wives for the experience. Shout out to Vida!
