Casual waterfront dining right on the docks of the Patchogue River, The Oar serves up fresh and delicious steaks and seafood. Chefs prepare specialties like coconut shrimp, 36 oz sizzling prime porterhouse, lobster quesadillas and fresh Bluepoint oysters and little clams which are delivered daily. Two dining rooms are decorated in traditional nautical style. The front wall in made up of French doors that open onto the water, providing dockside open air seating in warm months and picturesque views of the marina year-round. I was looking for a nice place to take my sister and her husband. This place did not disappoint. The ambience was beautiful. The waiter was amazing. Since we were new to ITA kitchen, he explained everything on the menu with ease and answered all of our questions. The food was delicious. I will be returning to this place for dinner well worth my money and time.

Everything was absolutely perfect. After we booked we found out there was live entertainment which worried us but the volume was great and we were still able to have our conversations. The food and service were absolutely perfect
