This modern Milanese style of dining is derived from the combination of the words Aperitivo (happy hour) and Cena (dinner). Very similar to the Spanish tapas, Apericena is a convivial experience which embraces small plates and drinks to encourage sharing and the opportunity to savor different flavors and dishes. What a lovely trattoria. Great service from maitre’ d Seth, my server Alane and her support team. The food was excellent, gnocchi and polenta stole my heart as well as the authentic and mouthwatering puntarelle insalata. Approachable in all areas for the casual diner to the elegant wine savant. 10/10.

We ordered the tasting menu (Trust Us) and it was OUTSTANDING. From the moment we walked in to Hey Kiddo - which we walked by twice without realizing it - to the moment we left, we were treated like treasured guests. We are seasoned eaters and we were impressed. Every course was unique or best in class, from salad to dessert. The ambiance was nearly perfect and service impeccable. We really enjoyed ourselves.
