The Grape Variety is a neighbourhood, independent wine bar, shop and restaurant, selling great wines and food from around the world, located just 2 minutes from Chipstead Railway Station.We opened in the spring of 2018 with the aim that a wine bar should cater not just to experts, but to all, so we created one where our guests could unwind at the end of the day with a great wine in a warm, friendly and genuine environment, whilst getting sound advice about which wines to enjoy, as well as to take away.For food, we offer quality artisan cheese and charcuterie, alongside dishes such as baked Camembert, bakery sausage rolls, hot chorizo and potato, hummus with a spicy sauce, Spanish pâté and the like. Trinity reopened in October 2015 with the same ethos, culture and team whilst recreating a new and refreshing backdrop - retaining its sophistication and remaining a restaurant of significance in Clapham. An alfresco dining area accommodates 16 guests, the dining room seating 40 guests that now have a clear view into an open plan kitchen with banquette seating surrounded by the soft hues of jade green and dusty heather pink. Staying true to his style of cookery, the new menu will focus on Adam’s interpretation of great classics in a relaxed and approachable setting. The kitchen presents a four course a la carte menu for a set price of £70 for lunch and £120 for dinner. The wine list continues to offer great value with the Chef's Cellar List (just add VAT and corkage), increasing both our quantity and quality and a overall extension to the main wine list of up to 400 bins now on display in the feature wine cellar on the ground floor.

The food and service were excellent - and there was live music. But it was early January and freezing cold so most people chose to stay at home so the place was virtually empty.

Simply the best Japanese restaurant in the UK. Great food with lots of decent variety (many people just automatically think Sushi this is so much more and you will love discovering different dishes. Great staff. The owners know their stuff and are always welcoming.
