Serving inventive Japanese cuisine using the freshest seafood from Tokyo’s famed Tsukiji market and local New England fishermen, and borrowing influence from the streets of Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, Bangkok and Bangladesh, Uni is the evolution of Ken Oringer’s intimate sashimi bar of the same name, which expanded into the former Clio space in 2016.     The food was delicious and I loved the ambience. The cocktails were a bit pricey at $16-$20 but that seems to be the standard here in Boston. If you want to have a romantic and quiet evening I do recommend Terra. Our waiter also gave us a sweet cream gelato to celebrate my fiancé and I’s engagement! It was a great time!

    We had a great dinner at City Works during a recent visit to Boston. We were staying at the Residence Inn and were able to walk from the hotel. The area is quite nice with lots of shops and other restaurants. It was festively decorated with holiday lights. We sat at a high top and enjoyed the many screens to watch games. Mario was our server. He was attentive and helpful. I had Spicy Shrimp Skewers - a Chef’s Favorite item - and my husband had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with fries. Both were excellent. We really enjoyed the warm Chocolate Cookie served in a cast iron skillet with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream for dessert. Highly recommend City Works!

    Very much enjoyed our experience at Uni. Dishes are “tasting-sized” which makes for a great variety and a different awakening of your taste buds with each dish.
