Esther’s Kitchen in downtown Las Vegas is nothing short of a culinary gem. The selection of house-made spreads and the amazing sourdough, sets the stage for what’s to come. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared and elegantly plated, showcasing the finest local ingredients with a clear emphasis on authenticity and seasonal flavors. The flavors are bold but balanced, giving you the perfect introduction to the exceptional meal ahead. When it comes to the main courses, Esther’s Kitchen truly shines. The pastas are exceptional—handmade and cooked to perfection. The MARGHERITA PIZZA, for example, is served with a rich, savory sauce that perfectly clings to each slice of pizza. The FAZZOLETTI, another standout, is cooked with precision, its layers perfectly balanced while the meat remains juicy and flavorful. Whether you’re craving something hearty or a lighter fare, the offerings are designed to satisfy all tastes, with seasonal touches that elevate each dish. The wine list is equally impressive, offering a selection of reds, whites, and bubbles that perfectly complement the bold flavors of the menu. Arnell was a top grade server He made the experience top shelf. Of course, the food was excellent and creative. I don’t understand why the open table app said the only opening was seating at the bar when we got there the place was near empty. I told the hostess I would prefer seating at a table not in the bar area and that is where she sat us. Thankfully, after asking again they moved us out of the noisey bar area and we had an exceptional evening.

Very tastefully decorated room was surprisingly empty for 6:00 on Saturday night. Live music with guitar player/singer was a nice touch. Sat at a table for 4 for just two of us, so lacked a little intimacy, but not a deal breaker. Caesar salads and warm bread where spot on, glass of white wine and a Peroni draft that wasn't cold enough for my liking. Ordered the non-prime 16oz New York, was cooked medium rare as requested and had a nice crust but really nothing remarkable, had steaks as good for quite a bit less. The filet and pomme frites was probably a better deal, smaller meat portion, but tastier steak. Our server was super nice and friendly, did not rush us but was there when we needed her. 2nd glass of Peroni was also not cold enough, but we overall enjoyed the visit and would probabley repeat although likely not order steak. Burger at the table next to us looked good and I am tempted to try the Shrimp Scampi.

The steak was perfect. Service was excellent. The price was comparable with other restaurants of the same quality.

Grand Cafe is always a good place for a reasonably priced meal with good service and quality food for the price.
