Izakaya Den is Denver’s popular Japanese gastropub, modeled after the lively after hours establishments found throughout Japan. The restaurant is located on South Pearl Street and is the second restaurant of the Kizaki brothers, founders and owners of Sushi Den. The menu is arranged in a tapas style, serving traditional Japanese small plates along with dishes infused with international flavors and textures. My sisters, mom and nieces and I go here every year on NYE or shortly after. We have good food and good drinks. We stay for a while and have always been met with friendly service.

It was a fun evening with excellent service & food. I felt the $7 extra fee for fried rice was excessive. Overall a fun night out although you pay premium for the food & cooking show. I’d prefer smaller portions & lower prices .

Our server was great but realized she forgot my miso soup. I am unsure if we were charged or not, but was busy catching up with friends and noticed after the fact. Everything else was great
