Shinsei Restaurant - Traditional Sushi / Contemporary Asian KitchenWhen we came up with the concept of Shinsei we wanted a place that reflected our lifestyles: sometimes we went out to dinner with our kids and sometimes with our friends and husbands. We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish. Our signature poppers, for instance, are a sophisticated mix of late night bar food and sumptuous finger food with a distinctly Asian flair.

Jose’s vibrant story comes to life at every table through its chef-driven plates, craft cocktails, the ceramics crafted by its renowned namesake, José Noe Suro of Ceramica Suro and the hand-drawn mural adorning the walls with scenes of Guadalajara and Tequila, which was a collaboration between Suro and Dallas-based designer and artist Megan Reinhardt. More than a restaurant, José is a community with authentically innovative Mexican food at its heart. Helmed by award-winning Chef Anastacia Quiñones-Pittman, José’s culinary program is seasonal, inspired and ever evolving.

Open for over 20 years, Oishii Owner & Executive Chef Thanh Nguyen serves some of the most creative comfort sashimi, sushi, and specialty rolls (including many rice-less and gluten-free options) in Dallas.     The meal was outstanding and the service was excellent. We always feel welcome regardless of having lunch or dinner at the restaurant.     Our server was excellent! Apps cauliflower was out so we ordered this truffle bread, brussel sprouts, hummus and all were fantastic. Pizzas were amazing, spicy Hawaiian, mushrrom and sausage, bbq chicken all were so good!!! this was our second time, will definitely be back!

    Our sushi chef, Master Sushi Chef Elvis, served us outstanding sashimi and sushi. We even caught up with our long-time favorite server Tammy, who helped even though not assigned to our section. It was a memorable evening. Thank you. <(–:
