I cannot recommend Shelanous Restaurant enough! I pre-booked two months in advance for my husband's birthday, and it was worth every bit of the wait. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. The food was absolutely divine—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. My husband was thrilled with the experience, and it truly made his birthday unforgettable. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy an incredible meal, Shelanous is the place to go. Thank you to the entire team for making our night so memorable! Impeccable service and food, eating outside undercover with a view of Williamstown beach and the bay makes for some awesome photos. So far my most liked dinner ever.

In the last-minute rush to book a restaurant on Valentine's Day, Open Table saved the day and we managed to book a table for two at The Pier. The interior is tastefully designed and surprisingly quiet, allowing conversation without having to raise your voice. The menu should satisfy most diners, with dietary preferences catered for. We started with the burrata fresh citrus, pickled fennel jam & fig leaf oil which was delicious and augured well for the meal to come. We accompanied the buratta with the optional wood-fired bred, and I recommend you do too. Our main courses were the Summer Risotto and the Fish of the day (salmon on our visit); both wonderful. Popular choices at neighbouring tables included the Portarlington chilli mussels and the Wagyu bolognese. Political correctness precluded me from tasting what was on my neighbours' plates, but they seemed to enjoy their choices. We ended the meal with chocolate pudding, served with ice cream and macadamia. Another highlight was the friendly, efficient and unobtrusive service. Highly recommended.

Great food, had the arancini balls, lamb shoulder and chocolate marquise. Service was absolutely outstanding, water regularly topped up, didn't wait long for food, and empty dishes promptly cleared. Managed to easily finish three courses within one and half hours, starting at 5pm, so that could attend 7pm show at the convention centre.
