We have dined here many times and the food is usually excellent. This time was not the case. I had to return my burger as it was definitely overcooked. My friend ordered the cob salad and the chicken was also overcooked and the salad overdressed. Since this is an unusual occurrence, I would return with the thought this was a one off. The service was excellent as usual and when my burger was replaced it was excellent.

There were 5 of us. Everyone's food was good! I had the chicken and waffles. They let me swap out the spicy chicken for wings since I don't eat spicy food. It was delicious. One friend had salmon and rice, the others had some variation of mac and cheese which they all enjoyed.

Le Monde, a long-time resident of Morningside Heights, was full of festivity and rich, French food on Christmas. The pinot noir was top-notch. My guy had escargot, followed by a duck main course, and I had the salmon over spinach with a sauce I can't remember before we shared a chocolate mousse. We're glad we went early, because a lot of time for digestion was required. Our only criticism was that the guitar-player who sang wonderful tunes, mostly in French, was amplified, and we could barely hear each other. Minus the amplification, this would have been a plus, and I'm sure it was only for the holiday. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and we'd do it again.

Food was outstanding and the atmosphere was wonderful!!!

Lena has become one of my go to restaurants. A favorite lunch dinner I love it. I don’t want too many people to try it because then it’ll be hard to get a reservation! Just kidding I love it. I go back whenever I can.
