Kiln is a small restaurant in the heart of the Ouseburn. We make everything ourselves and push to be better than the day before.We serve brunch every morning from 10am to 4:30pm.Our Mediterranean & Middle Eastern inspired tapas style menu is served from 5pm to 10pm.Our great coffee, homemade cakes and cocktails are served all day - and we’re dog friendly!Please inform the staff of any allergies when booking & due to the nature of our menu please note we cannot accommodate anyone with a severe nut or sesame allergy.Thank you!

Blackfriars is located in a 13th century medieval friary where it once served as the refectory for the Dominican friars, making it one of the oldest purpose-built dining rooms in the UK.The restaurant serves a classic, gutsy British menu sourcing seasonal produce from local farms and markets accompanied by a large award-winning wine list.     Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Made to feel welcome and looked after throughout the whole evening. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, and literally made our experience a one to not forget. Outstanding food and attention to detail. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

    We lunched here once more, our first meeting in the New Year. The service from Lucy was excellent. The food was as good as ever. We will certainly be returning. Thank you for a really good dining experience.

    Easily the best dining experience in Newcastle. This is a gem of a place which is a must for dining. There is a set menu for those on a budget which is outstanding quality and choice. Or if you are in the mood for more the a la carte is a great option. The selection of dishes are seasonally based and cater for all diets - you will not be disappointed. Service and ambience are a delight and as soon as you walk in you are made to feel welcome and important. We are not from Newcastle but every time we visit (this is now our third dining experience) we make a point of going here and will definitely return.
