Our all-Italian wine list continues this sensibility by offering bottlings from the country's finest producers, with a focus on Piedmont, Friuli and Tuscany. We kindly request you alert your server of any dietary restrictions upon seating or when making your reservation. For parties of 8, we offer a preselected family-style menu and accept bookings directly through our Reservations line at (323) 297-0100. Additions welcomed, no substitutions. This menu is priced at $100 per guest, not including tax, tip or beverage upon consumption. République, located in Miracle Mile, is owned by Chefs Walter and Margarita Manzke. Centered in the heart of Los Angeles, the historic building in which it resides was originally erected in 1929 by Charlie Chaplin, and later transformed into the iconic La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. République builds on this storied past, offering a gastronomic environment imbued with history and grandeur. The space features a casual bakery, café, and bar in the front with a more formal dining area located in the rear, serving a French-inspired menu created daily by our chefs.

    Did the Valentine’s Day experience. Friendly staff. All courses were delicious - even the ones with Indian ingredients I don’t care for. Handwritten card welcomed me and my partner. Lovely place. 11 out of 10.

    The farm cheese is the best at Bavel. My husband and I also love the baba ghanoush (we always need an extra order of fried pita). The grilled dates have a nice kick to it and it was nice to eat a savory date for once. The lamb rack is always cooked to perfection. Our friend always orders the 26 oz ribeye and finishes it during dinner and my husband and I can see why. Nothing at Bavel disappointed us. I would recommend the cashew ice cream bar over the apple prune cake, but you really can't go wrong with either. It was a great dinner! Also every cheese and milk is pasteurized so despite being 6 months pregnant, I could eat everything!

    Always a wonderful experience. Food and services are exceptional. I travel to LA on business frequently and they make me feel welcome as a solo diner. There is always a warm welcome by the entire team and my preferences are remembered.
