Ophelia's on the Bay has also been voted most romantic, best waterfront and best restaurant with a view by its loyal customers. The menu changes nightly using fresh and seasonal ingredients, fresh fish flown in from all over the world and specialty meats. There is certainly something for every palate! We feature an extensive wine list, specialty martinis, as well as a full bar. Family owned and operated for over 22 years, we have an experienced staff that prides itself on exemplary service.

Chef Carta brings the authentic simple elegance of the Sardinian dining tradition to your table. Sardinian cuisine is known for the purity of food and flavors. To insure the authenticity of the dining experience Chef has imported an authentic hood wood-burning oven for the kitchen. The menu is focused on farm fresh and locally grown food. Chargrilled meats and local fish will be cooked in the oven as it is in Sardinia. Taste the Sardinia bread, know as Pane carasau, baked fresh daily which welcomes you at your table. The pasta dough is also made fresh daily. Revel in the authentic Sardinian paella made with fregola and enjoy the unique flavor of bottarga. To maximize the pleasure of sharing good food with good friends, Sardinia has 45 seats- 24 in the main dining room, a chefs table for 10 and 13 seats in the bar area.     Indigenous is an absolute culinary masterpiece in Sarasota. From the passionate hosts and servers to the ever changing and exquisite meals. You will never have a meal that misses here. Chefs are top notch and always deliver masterpieces. Can’t say enough about this fantastic place!!

    This was the fifth time we had dinner at Ophelia’s and it was awesome as always. The staff is so friendly and helpful, everything was timed perfectly. I had the best duck ever and my wife had lobster risotto that was amazing. It’s so good they were able to recover from the recent hurricanes! We will be back soon.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Dinner was delicious. Of course it never disappoints! The restaurant was full, but noise level was moderate due to the three different levels. Our waiter was David one of the bar tenders. Very helpful, considerate and cheerful! Would love to request him again. Will be going back for sure

    The food was amazing ! We started with sardine which were perfectly prepared - light, flakey and flavorful. My wife had the grouper with mussels special, which she loved and I had the paella - simply fantastic ! We tried Sardinian wine for the first time. I highly recommend you try it. Antonio was out server. He was a delight! Attentive, engaging and a pleasure to talk with about his career in the restaurant biz. At Antonio’s recommendation, we will be back to try the veal chop. Sardinia is a hidden gem … shhh
