Consistently Toronto’s best dining experience. Not only outstanding food, but provided with a focus on genuine hospitality: a combination seen more frequently in Europe than in North America and which is very welcome. Guests range from business people to families with young children and the same warm welcome is extended to all. CB should get Toronto’s next Michelin star and Daniel Boulud should be proud of his Toronto beachhead. Special mentions to sommelier John, Chef William, Zack and all of the staff. Much appreciated.

Staff was kind, knowledgeable and food came out fast.

We went to Blu on Avenue Road for our 3rd anniversary dinner and had a quiet romantic table on the ground floor. Staff went out of their way to explain the menu and our choices. It was clear that they were very loyal and loved their jobs and the place. They did give us some quiet time too. Then we were told the restaurant was about to close because of a huge rent increase at their lease renewal. We hope the new location opening on King Street West will come close to the beautiful spacious building on Avenue Road. Even if it does not we will be there because the food and service is so good. We each had an amazing scallop appetizer and we were glad we did not split it and had our own. For main courses the pasta, lamb and beef tenderloin were cooked to perfection. We were too full for ordering dessert but they brought a tiramisu to share and we were able to finish before leaving happy. We can’t wait to return to the new location in May.
