Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. Beautiful experience from the friendly hosts, to the delightful server, to the food all of which was perfectly delicious. We ordered the skillet cornbread, spinach dip, vegetable sandwich, goat cheese burger and fried chicken sandwich. Absolutely no complaints and they got us in and out in a little over an hour so we made it to our event right on time.

We had a lovely waitress/server who came from Peru. She was awesome. Very helpful as this was our first time having Peruvian cuisine. She recommended the ceviche sampler. All were delicious. My husband had the chicken stew (Wonderful). I had the arroz con Marisco which was loaded with mussels, shrimp and squid. Both dishes were excellent. Then for dessert who tried the Suspiro. A lovely dulce de leche custard topped with meringue and a guava syrup. Lovely. Rich.
