The White Horse & Griffin has developed a reputation for great food served in a relaxed and unfussy style, using locally sourced ingredients. With an emphasis on fresh seafood, we pride ourselves on great service and value for money. Built in 1681 and with a history you can almost taste, you can dine in the very room where Captain Cook and William Scoresby used to raise and fix their crews!The upstairs restaurant offers private dining and is ideal for special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or just getting groups of friends together.Downstairs, our busy ‘bistro style’ restaurant serves many British classics in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
