Entering the Saloon, a family owned restaurant since it opened in 1967 is a bit like stepping into Philadelphia's past. Dark oak paneling, shiny brass and authentic local antiques create a warm congenial and casual atmosphere.     We had an amazing Valentine’s Day experience. The food was delicious, the ambiance was so romantic and the live pianist set the mood perfectly, he even played a request which topped off a very special night!! Oh and the Lobster Ravioli and the NY Strip Steak was so amazing!!Thank you Bistro Romano!!!

    Wow, I’ve never had a dining experience quite like it!!! Staff and service went above and beyond. It was Valentine’s Day, and the staff signed a card for us! The food was so fresh and flavorful. The flavor of that Caesar salad… I’ll be raving about it forever.

    This restaurant never disappoints. Whatever I order, it is always on point, and very delicious. This visit I had the blackened catfish, and it was amazing!! The seating is a little tight, but otherwise a fantastic evening!

    We were celebrating my sister’s birthday (all 3 of us are seniors). We were soooo impressed with ambience, service, food, music, table setting ) china, silverware), our hostage ( can’t say enough…absolutely a sweetheart), felt so proud about the entire experience as African-American women, the other visitors were also impressed, so respectful , loved the pictures, we took so many pics while enjoying everything, we have already spread our experience with women ! Again thank you for such an unforgettable experience! “Kudos” 🌺 Barb Hart ps: even the bathroom was impressive !
