The Terrace at the famous Sunset Tower Hotel debuted a new look in May of 2018, featuring a refreshed outdoor dining experience with updated furnishings and an elegant new bar. The Tower Bar Restaurant has split views of the city from either side of the lobby. It offers a swank lounge, bar and an al fresco dining experience. Custom made banquettes line the windows that showcase an unparalleled view of the Los Angeles skyline. Art deco design influences include walnut with gold inlay trim in a subtle, muted color scheme. The delectable menu features California Bistro with Italian fare. A dress code is enforced, please call for information.We are now open daily for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is offered six nights a week, Monday-Saturday. We are unable to guarantee a seating preference of indoors or outdoors. We recommend a sweater or light coat during the evenings.Shorts, baseball caps, sweats, sandals, tank tops, phone calls, computers and photos are not permitted.

Centered in the heart of Los Angeles, the historic building in which it resides was originally erected in 1929 by Charlie Chaplin, and later transformed into the iconic La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. République builds on this storied past, offering a gastronomic environment imbued with history and grandeur.     We expected a special experience at the Tower Bar Restaurant this week, but we were pleasantly surprised by how much better it was than expected! The atmosphere was timeless and chic, the food was exceptional, and the service was beyond compare. It started at the front desk and was superb throughout our meal. We were never rushed, and were able to enjoy a long and relaxing brunch with multiple courses. The price was more reasonable than expected. And Angel our server was a true brand ambassador … he was knowledgeable, kind, entertaining, and made us want to not only return to the restaurant, but stay at the hotel the next time that we are in town. Thanks so much for a superb dining experience for the whole family. We can’t wait to come back again.

    One of our favorites in Westwood. The ingredients are tasty and fresh and the service is great. Bolognese is a favorite as is the pork dish and steak frites. Desert is amazing as well. Something we look forward to every time we are here!

    What a beautiful spot! The ambiance was incredible. The service was spot on. And the food was even better. Our table had a variety of salads, fish entree and steak and everyone was so happy. We celebrated a birthday and they made it extra special. Can’t wait to go back.
