This is a one-of-a-kind Skybar experience allowing guests a close view of our 149 year old firehouse, bell tower and original stained glass windows. A unique cross between a chop house and Crudo bar, Hook & Ladder features Certified A5 Japanese wagyu beef that will melt in your month. Dry aged Steak offerings including 32 days dry aged Porterhouse (28oz), 32 days aged Tomahawk Ribeye (40oz) that will taste decidedly beefy, much like a rare roast beef, while also taking on subtler hints of other delicious flavors. Crudo uses the Japanese technique of curing the fish making it more tender and flavorful. Finishing it with lime, lemon, and soy; featuring Wild King Salmon, Japanese Madai, Hamachi and more. Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. All the while, the tavern continued to provide food, shelter and cheer to the hungry, weary soldiers fighting for their independence. We dined at Butcher & Singer to celebrate having just gotten married. Ryan, our server, was outstanding. The food and drinks were remarkable and the vibes were spot on. Perfect date night for two!

We celebrated a birthday and our entire experience was perfect. Three of us enjoyed the beet and kale appetizer, and one person ordered the pate. They were both delicious. We ordered the duck, the Moroccan chicken and the sea bass entrees and all were cooked to perfection. The noise level was perfect, even though the tables were within close proximity to one another. The service staff was very cordial and attentive. We would dine here again.

We were greeted, seated and then treated to a lovely dining experience. We started with a couple of the specialty cocktails-Romarin and Nouveau Basilic: their pour was generous as our drinks lasted through our meals. A bonus of a basket of bread was brought to our table, such a rarity! Baguette, sourdough and what seamed a seasonal bread with cranberry and walnuts with beurre---seemed such a treat! Our waiter was attentive and made well informed dinner suggestions after asking us our preferences and we enjoyed the beef bourguignon; duck a l'orange and roasted chicken. Parc has made our top 10 list of places to eat while in Philly!

The inside is beautiful and interesting. The menu is varied. The servers seem inexperienced. The table was not cleared of appetizers before the entrees were served and we had to then wait for the right silverware and sharing plates. The waygu steak was delicious and well seasoned. The tuna appetizer was delicious. Burger was interesting but a little over the top. Will go back.
