It's the original Dublin gastropub at over 100 years old.Anybody who is familiar with Dublin pub food will be aware of Davy Byrne’s food reputation, in which seafood is the speciality.If you visit the premises at lunchtime and evening time, you will witness the huge trade which is done in fresh Seafood, Wagyu Burgers and pub classics like Fish & Chips. There is also a full range of Salads and Sandwiches to compliment these and, as often as not, you can enjoy Oysters and Guinness.The classic Gorgonzola sandwich with a glass of Burgundy as mentioned in Ulysses is available every day.Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate strollers/buggies indoors at Davy Byrnes but subject to availability, we can at our outside terraced area. Located within the historic grounds of the Guinness Storehouse, 1837 Bar & Brasserie celebrates the best of Ireland.     We went for my friend's birthday celebration. I booked for 4 adults, but we came with a 5month old baby with carriage. Was told 'you didnt book with a baby'. I felt embarrased infront of everyone. By the time we got a table, the party next to us have the same situation, a baby with a carriage. I need to know what's the drama behind booking with a baby. The hot drinks and pastries were ok at best. Scone for €5.5? It should be one of the best, but no. We have to ask for 2 hot drinks twice that werent served. The place is crowded and cramped. I dunno if this is usual. But I feel cramped in a canteen. The staff were nice and attentive. But the hard product was a complete contrast. I wil cancel the 2 bookings of afternoon tea after this experience. For almost similar price, just go to the nearby hotel.

    My young family and my wife and I had a beautiful experience in The Lord Mayors Lounge at the Shelbourne. Service was very attentive, warm and friendly, particular credit goes to Johanna, who was very friendly to our two young children. There was a slight glitch with your booking, which Imelda, the duty manager, dealt with very well - the kitchen was very accommodating to us also. Overall, a very pleasant experience and looking forward to our next visit already. Strongly recommended

    We got a table no problem on the Saturday after Christmas when we found ourselves nearby. We received a warmly welcome. Service was perfect giving us time to read the menu and we were told of the specials for that evening. The food was excellent with lovely flavours. We really enjoyed our evening, thank you

    Never a bad experience. We frequent DB every time we are in Dublin. The experience is always satisfying. We had dinner reservations for a Friday night (highly recommended). Quick to seat and serve us. Delicious food. Great drinks and the staff is always friendly. Will return. Family of four adults.
