Hook & Ladder is the unexpected steakhouse you’d never thought you’d find in the historic, original firehouse of the Washington Fire Company. This is a one-of-a-kind Skybar experience allowing guests a close view of our 149 year old firehouse, bell tower and original stained glass windows. A unique cross between a chop house and Crudo bar, Hook & Ladder features Certified A5 Japanese wagyu beef that will melt in your month. Dry aged Steak offerings including 32 days dry aged Porterhouse (28oz), 32 days aged Tomahawk Ribeye (40oz) that will taste decidedly beefy, much like a rare roast beef, while also taking on subtler hints of other delicious flavors. Crudo uses the Japanese technique of curing the fish making it more tender and flavorful. Finishing it with lime, lemon, and soy; featuring Wild King Salmon, Japanese Madai, Hamachi and more. The Burgess is a new restaurant located at historic Jeffersonville Golf Club in Norristown. Our Kitchen, helmed by Norristown native Kyle Edmonds, stresses a balance between comfort and fine dining.     Everything was very good. Waitress could have been more attentive. Was craving their chicken salad but it wasn’t on the buffet today due to them having their winter menu out. The chicken salad is so good, it should be a staple for the buffet.

    We had a great experience. We went fir our anniversary, first time there. We had Tristan as a server & he was on the ball. The filet mignon eggrolls were probably our favorite. The steak was cooked perfectly & the mustard sauce was no joke. The lobster bisque was out of this world (no skimping on the lobster) For entrees, we had the Salmon Imperial & Lobster Pasta. There were no leftovers to be seen. I mean, it probably looked like we licked the plates clean (we didn't, but still).

    This was our second time at La Provence and while the first time was excellent, this was more so. The food made me shut my eyes and take pleasure in the flavors passing my tongue. The interaction with waitstaff was very enjoyable and the amount of time I could enjoy a quiet undisturbed conversation with my wife was a joy. All of this was amazing to experience on Valentine’s Day!

    Had a great dinner but service was very slow. Got seated at 7:30 but did not receive meals until 8:45. Our waitress started telling us our meals will be the next ones out at 8pm and didn’t get them until 8:45.
