Centered in the heart of Los Angeles, the historic building in which it resides was originally erected in 1929 by Charlie Chaplin, and later transformed into the iconic La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. République builds on this storied past, offering a gastronomic environment imbued with history and grandeur. The space features a casual bakery, café, and bar in the front with a more formal dining area located in the rear, serving a French-inspired menu created daily by our chefs.

Rose Garden Tea Room is set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.Any party with more than 6 guests MUST call to make their reservation or email tearoom@huntington.org. Such a great experience! We’ve heard about the chicken pot pie for awhile and finally got to try. It was amazing. Our server Ryan was awesome and made the experience extra special. Five stars all around!

Tried Mrs. fish for the first time for anniversary reservations and I loved it. The ambience is gorgeous and the art on the wall gives the best finishing touches to the interior decor. The food was 10/10 everything was very flavorful. Every single worker went above and beyond to make sure our visit was enjoyable, I definitely have to give them credit. We came during happy hour so everything was at a really good price, quality of the food was an amazing and the service makes me likely to come back! Definitely recommend

The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. There are so many "fancy" restaurants in Los Angeles where the food is disappointing, but this was not one of them. Having known about Republique for many years and seeing it on many "best" lists I was prepared to be disappointed, but it met my expectations. My parents and I were very pleased with our meal, the service, and the ambience which is beautiful. It qualifies as one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in Los Angeles, and is deserving of its designation as one of LA's top restaurants.
